5th Annual Guild Luncheon

March 2 @ 10:00 am - 2:30 pm

 

On Friday, March 2nd, members of the Making It Better Guild will host their 5th annual fundraising luncheon – Sowing Seeds of Literacy – at the Junior League of Houston, 1811 Briar Oaks Ln., from 11am – 1pm. The luncheon will honor Freudenberg e2 for their incredible support and dedication to help us transform lives through literacy. Join us and be inspired by Keynote speakers Yvonne T. Streit and Jana Mullins, authors of Everybody’s Got a Seed to Sow-The Brookwood Story, a moving book and reminder that we all have an important seed to sow – no matter our capabilities. 

Get ready to shop ’til you drop at out 1st Annual Guild Shopping Boutique with unique items from some of Houston’s best boutique merchants.  Shopping will be open from 10:00 am – 11:20 am and 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm.

Major luncheon sponsorship; one premier table of 10 including 10 tickets to the VIP Reception preceding the event; 10 autographed copies of Yvonne T. Streit’s book Everybody’s Got a Seed to Sow-The Brookwood Story; recognition in all printed and electronic materials, on Making It Better’s website, social media sites and luncheon signage.  Sponsors 13 students in our Reading Intervention program.

$5,000 – Seedling
One premium table of 10 including 10 tickets to the VIP Reception preceding the event; recognition in all printed and electronic materials, on Making It Better’s website, social media sites and luncheon signage.  Covers the cost of 1 interventionist at 1 Reading Intervention program site.

$2,500 – Sprout

Reserved table of 10; recognition in all printed and electronic materials, on Making It Better’s website, social media sites and luncheon signage.  Covers the cost of materials and supplies needed for 10 Parent Workshops.

$1,000 – Seed

Reserved table of 10; recognition in all printed and electronic materials, on Making It Better’s website, social media sites and luncheon signage. Covers the cost of books and activity supplies at one Family Literacy Night event.

The mission of the Making It Better Guild is to support Making It Better by assisting with program activities and events, helping to raise program funds, and spreading awareness of the organization. The goal of this 35 member group is to raise funds which will allow Making It Better to provide programs for young struggling readers and family outreach programs that promote reading as a way of life.
